Ground Handling involves the coordination of different groups of professional whole responsibility is to perform services on the aircraft that is required for its operations. These servicing tasks include the use of equipment, tools, aids, and PPE by trained professionals to ensure the safety and quality of work performed.

 

This course is designed to prepare the students for the environment they would encounter during aircraft servicing. The students will be aware of the different equipment, terminologies, and procedures observed in the industry. This subject would also tackle the different marshaling signals and the accompanying procedures to ensure safety in the arrival and dispatch operation of the aircraft.

 

At the end of this training course, the participant will successfully be able to:

 

  • Identify and explain the role of the different ground equipment used in the servicing of the aircraft.
  • Identify and apply the different marshaling signals needed to guide the aircraft during ground maneuvering.
  • Explain the different procedures to be followed during an emergency during ground servicing
  • Prepare the student in taking the CAAP Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) License.
