The Ice and Rain Protection System is responsible for maintaining the aircraft’s safe operation by preventing and eliminating ice formation on the aircraft. In addition to this, it is also designed to minimize the impact of rain especially during phases of flight especially when visual navigation is required. 

 

At the end of this training course, the participant will successfully be able to:

 

  • Prepare the students to be knowledgeable on the different designs used in the protection of the aircraft against Ice and Rain.
  • Identify and explain the different designs and components used for Ice and Rain Protection.
  • Apply deductive reasoning by understanding the principle of operation of the whole design and its components.
